Walmart’s global brand value fell 4% during the past year but the world’s largest retailer maintains its position at the top of the table, according to a ranking by Kantar Retail and BrandZ.The retail sector has shrunk in terms of brands value but there are some exceptions, the most important of which is Amazon. In 2010, the Amazon brand is valued at $27.45 billion, 359% more than in 2006, when it was the 8th biggest retail brand in the world. It is now the 2nd.
